On Friday, September 16, the teachers of TMSA attended an extremely beneficial workshop Facilitated by NWEA and Mr. Dramaine Freeman. Since we use the Map assessments three times a year to measure student growth with taught standards, the NEWA workshops are invaluable to us.
These assessments inform teachers as to exactly where students are, and provide strategies to help increase growth and move them towards mastery. Our teachers were provided an opportunity to learn more about Analyzing data to share with students. The benefits gained during the workshop will improve the way Data is used to Drive Instruction.
Already the teachers are using the data to review with each student privately, and students are learning to focus on the next goal ahead.
