Big Fun in the Big Apple

A trip well worth the 537 miles! 4 days of jam-packed action in New York City created amazing memories for our juniors and seniors.  The sights and sounds of the “Big Apple” helped make this the most EPIC experience for our upperclassmen.

Day one included a stop at Grand Central Station and Central Park, riding tours of Columbia University and NYU, as well as dinner in Times Square.  Day Two was highlighted by a visit to the Museum of Natural History and a Broadway show, “The Play That Goes Wrong.”

Day Three might just go down as the best experience, as students traveled up the Statue of Liberty, walked across the world famous Brooklyn Bridge, shopped in Chinatown, ate dinner in Little Italy and then finally traveled to the top of the tallest building in the country, One World Observatory.  Just when they thought the night was over, our tour guide provided a special treat by taking the group across the bridge to Brooklyn.  The nighttime view of the New York Skyline was an absolutely spectacular sight!

Finally, the last day was spent visiting Rockefeller Plaza, and the shopping capital of the city, Fifth Avenue.

We logged way over 10,000 steps a day, our students raved about this once in a lifetime opportunity, and many are ready to move out and sign a $5,000 per month lease for their 1 bedroom studio in Manhattan!!! :)
